My name is Ioli Iliopoulou. My passion is dance, and more specifically ballet. I have been doing ballet ever since I can remember myself. I practice ballet everyday as it is a way for me to clear my mind and to let go from everything else bothering me in my everyday life.
I know that some people do not acknowledge ballet as a sport. However, these people do not understand the hard work we put into it and that dance can even be more than just a sport. Dance in general is a literal form of art and it makes me really sad how people take it for granted because they do not understand that behind every Grand Jeté, Pirouette and Entrechat is a rich history and a superhuman effort to create spellbinding performances.
On the other hand, maintaining optimal health and well-being is a must. Well-being has an immediate connection with health and mental health. Wellbeing is strongly linked to happiness and life satisfaction and ballet is what makes me happy. Ergo, i believe that well-being and ballet have a immediate connection too.
